Dr Alex Liu is currently the Assistant Professor at the Division of Urology, Department of Surgery, Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). After his primary medical degree, he completed his Master of Science with distinction from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), with a focus in clinical trials methodology. He received his specialty training in Hong Kong, and obtained fellowship in urology from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd) and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong (CSHK). During his training, his research work received multiple awards and accolades, including the Samuel Kwok Medal for Outstanding Research, the CSHK Best Research Award, and the European Association of Urology (EAU) Best Abstract Award Second Prize (Non-oncology).
Dr Liu's research interest is on the application of big data and artificial intelligence (AI) in answering clinical questions as well as aiding surgical practice. He is an active member of EAU's UroEvidenceHub (UEH) PIONEER project on prostate cancer big data collaboration group. He is also a full member of the EAU Young Academic Urologists (infection working group), and is dedicated to high quality research work in this area.

Dr Joseph Li obtained a degree in medical science in 2007 and his medical degree in 2010 from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He holds fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg and the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong.
Dr Li is currently serving as a consultant urologist in Pok Oi Hospital, honorary clinical associate professor of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, President of the Hong Kong Society of Endourology, and faculty in Asian Urological Surgery Training and Educational Group (AUSTEG).
Dr Li has a strong interest in the management of urolithiasis. He introduced free-hand, ultrasound-guided puncture; and popularized supine, miniaturized PCNL/ECIRS in Hong Kong. He is dedicated to improve stone surgery, and to propagate the use of ECIRS.

obtained the Fellowship of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2011 and
worked as Associated Consultant in PYNEH.
From 2013 to 2015 she completed the
two-year European Board of Urology (EBU) Fellowship in endourology and
laparoscopy at Nuffield Department of Surgical Sciences, University of Oxford. During the fellowship she has conducted
several basic science research projects in collaboration with Weatherall
Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford. Her research project was
on the pathophysiology of kidney stone disease using Drosophila as

"The Fly”, “Urolithiasis”, “Urologia” and “BMC Urology” as first author

After returning to Hong Kong, Dr Chung started her private
practice in Hong Kong urology clinic with special interest in endourology and
female urology. Since
2020, Dr Chung has
been serving as the Honorary Secretary of Hong Kong Society of Practicing
Urologist to promote continuous medical education and update on urological
disease treatment and prevention.
Bryan KC CHENG

Dr. Bryan Kwun-Chung Cheng graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2009 and was registered as a urology specialist in 2016. He served as an Associate Consultant in the Department of Surgery in United Christian Hospital from 2017 to 2022, and acted the Deputy Service Director in the Quality and Safety Office of Kowloon East Cluster.
Dr. Cheng specializes in the surgical treatment of benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) and has special interests in andrology treatment. He is one of the pioneers of holmium laser enucleation of prostate (HoLEP) surgery in Hong Kong. Through collaboration with radiologists, he has also established prostatic-arterial embolization as a novel treatment in his centre for high-risk surgical candidate with refractory retention. Dr. Cheng has received overseas andrology training in University of Washington, Seattle and has set-up the first Men’s Health clinic in Kowloon East Cluster in 2019.
As a recognition to his achievement, he has been awarded the Hospital
Authority Young Achiever Award in 2020.
Lysander H CHAU

graduated from The University of Hong Kong in 2000. He completed
urological training and obtained Fellowship in Urology in Royal College of
Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2008. Since 2009, He was appointed to be associate
consultant in Urology Team in HKEC and then in KEC in 2010. From 10/2017
onwards, he worked as a consultant in NTWC helping to develop
endo-urological ambulatory urology services and cross-cluster robotic
urological surgery. Then he contributed to develop own robotic surgery
service in NTWC after installation of the machine from 1/2023 onwards. In 2021,
he was elected as committee member of Urology Board and then the horonary
secretary in 2023. He is also the team head of Urology Team in NTWC since
1/2023 until he joined private group practice since 4/2024.
He
has special interest in urolithiasis management with various published
paper, trial and audit in the field. He
is the first one in Hong Kong to introduce navigation system in management
of renal stone using PCNL. The procedure was granted one of the honorable
video in the Award Winning Video Session in AUA 2014 and he would like to
share the experience with the rest world. At present he tries to promote supine
PCNL together with ECIRS to maximize complex stone clearance in Hong
Kong, both public and private practice.

Dr Chan received his medical degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2011. He completed his urologic residency at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong and obtained fellowship from College of Surgeons of Hong Kong and Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2018 and he was awarded the C.H. LEONG medal and scholarship. Motivated by a profound commitment to improving healthcare access and quality, Dr Chan completed a Master of Science in Health Service Management from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2025 aiming to contribute strategically to the evolving healthcare landscape.

Dr Jia-Lun Kwok is a Consultant, Endourology Service Lead and Endourology Fellowship Director with the Department of Urology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, NHG Health, Singapore. Dr Kwok completed advanced training with a one-year Endourology Fellowship at University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland. Leading the Endourology service, Dr Kwok has extensive clinical expertise in flexible ureteroscopy, suction applications, PCNL, including ECIRS and Simultaneous Bilateral Endoscopic Surgery, across different laser technologies, with emphasis on short stay surgery.
Dr Kwok is a keen researcher in the field of Endourology, with international collaborations. He is also an associate member of the Section of EAU Endourology, and Associate Board Member of the Asian Urological Society of Endoluminal Surgery & Technology (AUSET).

Dr Olivier TRAXER is Professor of Urology and Chairman Urology department Sorbonne University Tenon hospital (Paris-France). Prof Somani is a world renowned endourologist and a high-volume surgeon. He has performed more than 3500 ureteroscopy procedures (surgery to treat kidney stones). His outcomes show a stone-free rate of 96% and a minor complication rate of 4%, with nearly 80% of patients being able to go home on the same day as their surgery.
Prof Somani is also the clinical director of the south coast regional lithotripsy services (a treatment that uses shock waves to break down kidney stones). More than 5,000 procedures have been carried out under his supervision since 2012. Dr. Zhu Wei specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of urinary tract stones, particularly the surgical treatment of complex stones and solitary kidney stones, as well as comprehensive treatment for the prevention of recurrence. Dr Brian Ho graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Hong Kong in 2006. He completed his Urology training at Queen Mary Hospital, Hong Kong, where he obtained his Fellowship in Urology from the Hong Kong College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2014.
To further his specialist training, Dr Ho completed an observership at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York under the tutelage of Dr Guido Dalbagni in 2016, acquiring in-depth knowledge in managing bladder cancer patients. Dr Ho also studied under Professor Zeng Guohua at The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University in 2017 to attain proficiency in miniaturized PCNL and help bring the SMP (SuperMiniPCNL) system to Hong Kong.
From 2016 to 2025, Dr Ho treated a wide variety of urology patients initially as an Associate Consultant and then subsequently as a Consultant at Queen Mary Hospital. The spectrum of diseases ranges from benign prostate hyperplasia to complex renal stones to advanced urological cancers to renal transplantation.
Besides providing service to patients in need, Dr Brian Ho has an interest in research and innovative technology. He has been involved in multiple international multicenter trials and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and abstracts in international and regional journals. Dr Ho was also one of the principal investigators in the MT-02 study on the innovative iTIND (implantable Temporary Nitinol Device) in the treatment of BPH. In addition, Dr Ho helped bring PUL (prostatic urethral lift) into the Medical Device program of the Hospital Authority in Hong Kong.
Working in the university-affiliated Queen Mary Hospital gave Dr Ho the opportunity to provide training to the next generation of medical doctors especially those in the subspecialty of Urology. He has been the course director for the joint HKU / ESUT Masterclass in Laparoscopic Urological Surgery – Animal Dissection Workshop from 2018 to 2022 and is interested in promoting training in minimally invasive surgery in young, aspiring urologists.

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), and she is a recognized speaker at local
and international urologic conferences, with research centered on urolithiasis. She currently practices as a
consultant urologist in several hospitals across Cavite and Manila.

Dr NG Chi Fai, Anthony graduated in the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1993. He then joined Department of Surgery, Prince of Wales Hospital, as surgical trainee. After his basic training, he decided to become an urologist and became a specialist in 2001. Attracted by the rapid development in endourology, he spent one year in Scotland, worked under Mr David Tolley, and gained extensive experience in endo laparoscopic surgery and stone management.
After completion of his training, Dr Ng decided to join the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2006 and is currently Director of the S.H. Ho Urology Centre, Department of Surgery, the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also the Director of CUHK Jockey Club Minimally Invasive Surgical Skills Centre. He has a wide range of interest, in particular in prostate diseases, urolithiasis, and promotion of men’s health. He was also honored with the Outstanding Young Urologist Award in 2010 by the Asian Congress of Urology, the International Guest Scholar 2012 of the American College of Surgeons and the World Chinese Urology Association Award 2014, as recognitions to his work in the field.
Besides clinical and research work, Dr Ng has also strong commitment in education and teaching. He is currently member of the educational subcommittee of the Hong Kong Urological Association and also the council member of the College of Surgeon of Hong Kong and also the Urology Board of the College of Surgeons of Hong Kong. He is actively involved in the planning of the urological training in Hong Kong.
Also he has been awarded the Best teacher Award (2008-2009, 2011- 2012) of the Faculty of Medicine, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, for his contribution in undergraduate teaching. He has also initiated a series of public educational activities “Watchman” (included: webpage - www.watchman.hk; facebook page - watch!man ; iphone apps - watchman) to help to improve the public knowledge on Men’s health related topics.
